wasted

wasted

A Poem by orrin spencer

of all the feelings felt

I'm never too sure on which ones are real

too many too often to tell a difference

anger, frustration, warmth and contentment

which ones last and which one prevails?

tired and angry

wasted and happy

too much of the former

and none of the latter

hopelessly feeling older and frail

wasted time and wated emotion

not enough time and too little emotion

too short on temper and too long on time away

never feeling able to enjoy the play

too many times I sit and fear

of what I know

I know there's been to much time shedding wasted tears.
