angel

angel

A Poem by Oscar

today this angel told me this is the safest place for me, I told her to wait for me
she hands me a blindfold
without hesitation I wear the silky shiny red velvet ribbon around my eyes
It feels cool and smooth around the bridge of my nose and eyelids.
she asks me what I see
I see black obsidian
she asks me again
I repeat, nothing
look with your mind not your eyes she says to me
Yet I still see nothing
I ask where did you go?
no reply, give me a sign are you there
the darkness opens
she grabs my hand to sooth my mind
the angel tells me to not worry
the next moments in my life have marked me deep within my soul
everywhere I go I feel her presence
she is with me, not in eyesight but in my mind she never leaves me
I can't stop missing her
my senses won't stop craving her
she takes me to a place far from here
beyond any stop light
far from any street light
away from earth itself
she takes me places I've never been
feels I've never experienced
words I thought I'd never expect to understand what they meant
this angel was a key to many things for me
every morning I wake up
It was a dream I tell myself
Although this time when I get up from my bed
I see the red velvet blindfold on the pillow next to me

I love this, it's so beautiful and moving. I wonder if it is a woman you love that you are referring to by chance. But I love it, amazing.
