Early Days

It all became clearer,
When I saw you standing there.
As I started to walk nearer,
I felt the magic in the air.

I've missed you all this time,
It's been so lonely without you.
Although I wish that you were mine,
I need to know what I feel is true.

I've been trying to figure it out,
All the time that you've been away.
All there was in my mind was doubt,
Until I saw you there today.

Your name is circling in my mind,
It has been for a while.
Someone like you is hard to find,
I don't want to end up in denial.

I know we're at such an early stage,
I fear we'll never move on.
But how are we supposed to turn the page,
When the time is nearly gone?

You were here all this time,
Yet it's only now I see.
That if one day, you would be mine,
You would be perfect for me.

We're scared to fall and break, I know,
I knew that from the start.
Maybe we can let the heartbreaks go,
And learn to love from the heart.
