Danger

Danger

A Poem by Georgia

We live in a world of pure delusion

The things that we see are just an illusion

Words that we hear could be truth or lie

Uttering phrases in perfect disguise

Fires burn brighter than anything good

Lighting up faster than the red lights could

Like moths to a flame and boys to the sun

The fire keeps burning while you're coming undone

Like leaves that are falling from gravity's pull

Changing the angle so the glass is half full

With warmth like the fire that's still burning strong

And words just like honey that sound like a song

A sly sense of mystery to darken the day

Is covered in smoke to hide it away

The fire that burns with one touch has a twist

So gracefully dancing, it's hard to resist

It dances to music playing deep in your mind

Yet once you are burned, you are gone " left behind

And it often catches the eyes of a stranger

For you are the fire and you are the danger
