Rose - Part 2

Rose - Part 2

A Poem by Georgia

It was some time ago

When the weather was cold

The raindrops were falling

The story was told

Flowers in the garden

One standing alone

I was never the one

For you to take home

The flower it wilted

It died away

Never to live for

Another day

Four months they passed

With no sun at all

The rose it had gone

The sunflower stood tall

Until one day

Summer came around

Something was growing

A stem through the ground

The rose it returned

More bright than before

The sunflower died

You came back once more

Now in the garden

You see the rose

For the first time I can say

I’m the one that you chose

So the story it ends

It just goes to show

What once was forgotten

Can someday regrow
