A poem of longing for affection.

Read me and notice the words that I have written onto my skin.
The ink seems to fade along with my shaken breaths.
Read me and notice the maps that lead  to my heart.
Can you see the difference between love and obsession?
Why do I start what I cant finish?
Maybe I don’t want to finish anything anymore.
Your fading footsteps echo, and it frightens.. Everything I use to touch.

Read me and notice the words I have scratched into my skin,
So deep inside, so you’ll never forget;
The difference between love and obsession.
Read me and notice the maps that lead the way to my heart,
Trace your footsteps along them, maybe then you will find it beating for you.
Why do I hold what I can’t keep?
Maybe its something I can't live without.
Your hand touches mine, and it sooths… everything I use to love.
