My other half

My other half

A Poem by Britteny
"

Just opened up the add writing tab and started writing, didn't really want to post it but something compelled me to.

"
I miss it
All that remains is
emptiness
silence
a big
black
hole
The veins on this artist
Have been sucked dry
Like the desert
By life
obligations
of a busy
twenty something
growing up
growing pains
less time
looming deadlines
broken promises
Part of growing up
Or the death of a soul?

Fried brains (LOL), I've had them too! ...but don't sweat it--age brings them down to a slow simmering.
This piece is very easy to relate to as well, but there's a bit of truth in that saying, "Use it or lose it."
Keep writing,
and thanks for sharing
