The Chase

The Chase

A Poem by Britteny
"

I found this one on the back of some art work I did a while back. I am pretty sure that it is unfinished but I decided to post it anyway.

"
An obsession that sparkles and glows
Her mind confused wanders to god only knows
The dress fits snugly every seam perfectly sewn
To accentuate her figure now full blown
She felt like the ditzy princess
From her little girl dreams
Yet over exposed objectified and ripped at the seams
It was Cinderella all over again
Thirteen o' clock the ball and then
No lost glass slipper before the clock chimes
She was only looking for him this time
Feeble steps toward strangers that just poke fun
Of a doe eyed girl whose first reaction is to run
As far as she can from this mess
This peach has caused her too much distress
Peach pie cobbler tea and schnapps
The mouse the prey to the king on top
But onwards searching she pressed on
To look in one direction and find him gone
How much longer will this chase go?
With the magician and his magic show?
Finally the cat had caught his mouse
She surrendered to abide by the rules of his house
