How to find your inner strength

How to find your inner strength

A Poem by Nina C Palmer
"

Isn't that a question that we eventually ask ourselves?

"

I see so clearly now

How it is that we stay here

In dark woods that keep our soul

I see now how desparate we seem

And lost and unable to free ourselves

Every assistance is in vain

For what is said is always the same

We are told to find our strength

That finding a way out is just something we do

And i tell you now this is not so

Your strength is not something hidden

It is not something that you create

Strength is something in which you already possess

It simply lies beneath the surface

It will present itself when needed.

And if you feel now in this moment

that the time has come for an end

I tell you strength will not show itself

For it is not the end that reveals your strength

It is the beginning

The day you awake and find yourself

moved in such a way you didn’t know

You could be moved

A smile will creep into the corners of your mouth

And that… that is strength

"rough draft"??? this is excellent, reminds me of "the strength in weakness", growing to understand your weakness and then making it painfully obvious... noone will assume you ar flaunting your weakness therefor playing into your strength... this is one virtue of a warrior spirit... to grow accustom to the taste of your own weakness, accepting it, becoming humble with what you are, then drawing strength from where it did not exist before... you have a great pen above...

Doesn't look like draft to me ... very interesting theme you chose .. profound and came right from your heart I sure sensed it. Strength is not hidden within but simply waiting for you to let it out using it when the moment comes. Weakness lies right beside it dwelling deep but sometimes easier to be felt in moments of fragility once faced with our inner fears or sadness that overwhelms us. Great writing revealing a nice point of view
