How to DreamA Poem by Nina C PalmerI cannot seem to fly-- For I am wingless and earth bound. Still, I open my arms and wave frantically, And though I commit all my might, I cannot ever lift myself and fly. I think and wonder and then dream. Slowly closing my heavy eyelids, And my breaths become deep and calm. In my mind’s eye I spread my arms. I feel the breeze flow beneath me. I can almost feel the warm sun on my face. I imagine all that can be seen from above. And in that moment I am lifted. © 2014 Nina C PalmerReviews
