The Maple Tree Queen

A maple tree transitions from summer to fall

Her majesty stands before us all

We gaze upon her emerald adorned crown

A longing look before the chilled day ends

Autumn is longing to come home

 

A floor of glass flows below her

Reflecting her ever changing boughs

Of beauty to the heavens

Lined with the sunlight of fading summer

 

She undresses of her amber robe

It falls like petals from a wilted rose

Her long limbs are bare and spread

As they sway with joy in autumn breeze

 

Her leaves sail on bitter waters like lost canoes

And cling to her fingertips touching down

Before they drift away and are lost forever

Autumn has come home

This is really, really nice. I love the title and the entire poem itself.
There are a bunch of nice lines, "Autumn is longing to come home" and "A floor of glass flows below her"
There is such a surreal fantasy quality to the whole thing, which creates a spirit for the maple tree

There's more than one truth - that's the essence of what I meant by "irrespective of nature itself".

We can adore nature, and we can treat it as that "special something", however there also exists that other truth, in which to do so is besides the point:



Alongside the rest of nature, we're still just creatures with routine needs and functions, entirely set apart.



(That you write this sort of thing though Nina is still an encouraging reality.)
