A march to a new day

A march to a new day

A Poem by Panos
"

(translated from Greek) A poem inspired by the events of Greek movement against austerity measures

"

Walk on, my brothers
many or few, certainly enough
certainly courageous
it is the stubbornness of a toddler
than now embraces

the confidence of an elder

Walk on, my brothers
The road is full of promises
you will see, do not hesitate
in the next turn
your sacrificies will be rewarded

Walk on, my brothers
step  steady but also brisk from the exitement

Step uncertain of a future that is not yet over
step that keeps the rhythm of your songs

Look now
Look at them standing up and applausing
standing up and cheering  as you go
epic choreography with History maestro
listen, they mumble your song
they unite their voices

Look now
there is nothing that can stop you
the eternal authority  runs to sculpte teeth that are ready to fall
they raise their phallic symbols
throw poison like frightened badgers
Laugh now
enjoy it
for you is the smell of fear

Look now
a new day dawns with hesitation
it belongs to you
