i sky

i sky

A Poem by paul

i sky like the ground
i sweat like the sun
everywhere infinity is just
another one
all these years
alone at sea
madness is a wave
overcoming me

.
. overwhelming, paul ... remarkably stunning and profound ... it's like walking into the sea in the middle of the night ... and not caring even for a fleeting moment about the consequences because nothing worse can happen ... the title is outstanding and the opening line takes my breath away ... but it's the last four lines that transcend profundity ... and speak of an existence ... that is beyond the threshold of isolation ... vandalized beyond even a desire for redemption ... absolutely ravishing poetry, coach ... you are a genius like no other ... but more than that ... you are a human like no other ... you're the best, coach ...

solitude comes to mind, being alone on the ocean with only the waves to keep you company and like them the mind becomes filled with madness. It is during these times that one could have some deep reflextions about who they are and the meaning of this or that. If they don't have a strong foundation then indeed they can go mad having nothing solid to hold onto and they would be swept away by one of those crashing waves.

Madness is a wave that overcomes everyone once in a lifetime..at the least.

it may seem like 'madness'...but the 'mad' do not see it coming, and deny it when it arrives
