Man-kind

Man-kind

A Poem by pheasant
"

If we give up hope, then who will be there to change the day?

"
Previous Version
This is a previous version of Man-kind.

Teenagers and tanks
Tangle on the banks
While money mongers mingle
And possessions they jingle

In this dreary picture of a manly kind

We're not leaving much room for a revolving mind

But what I foresee
Within this mystery

Is the top few sarges
Will yield their charges

As folks like you and me
Make free

Our minds and hearts...
And blessing starts

To be the new way...
To save this day

The Peacemaker are needed today. Sending young men and woman to learn death before celebrating life is a terrible deed. The poem is hopeful and beautiful. I like the photo. The words are true. "Blessed are the peacemakers." A excellent poem.

The world of humans seems to always be in need of fresh minds and new ways to see things, especially in these days of widespread pollution, greed and damage to the earth. I like the positive feeling in your words, so full of hope.

the technical aspect of the poetic you've created here is crisp and timed to rhythmic chant in a truly original manner~ the heart of it beats with humanity~

Maybe showing examples to the young would help .. there's so much greed from the bottom rung up, so much stepping on other people's feelings and lives; and that comes from the so called fully grown, the media, the so called folk in power ..

thought and example wrapped in a few old fashioned ethics would help.

Oops, see what your powerful and great poem has done to me .. now stepping down and letting you shine your light wider.

I think the negatoids' agendas are actually more about greed for power and control over others for personal gains and for which money has been utilized for achieving this... and may have originally been created for this purpose. In any case I do believe the solution is to focus on the solution... which in my view is expanding love and goodwill within ourselves and among the masses, coupled with clear vision and influential actions.
