i rise

i rise

A Poem by pink elephant

Rising from the self absorbed nature I've become
I rise with great fury
Flames flow from my body
My wings drop the ashes of failures
My sinful eyes open
Showing a glimpse of a angel, with glowing fierce eyes of blue glass from within
My arms fly down with intent
As a cold distant breath leaves my bitter chapped stricken lips
I am I say
Greatness
I am
Behold the death of me lay
Behold the newness
My ears twitch as I hear the wind whisper onto me my name
Time releases its dead grip on me
As I rise to a stance of strong will
My eyes gaze upon all
I take a breath and release
I have become a angel of fortitude Of grasping light Of greatness
As my wings fly open
Flames fly from the tips
Burning the remainder of sorrow I had
I am newness reborn of purity
Rising from the self absorbed nature...

Wow … I know of which you speak. Wonderful and transcendental.
