oh sammy

if anyone has read the morganville vampires books this is a poem from amelie to samuel glass. its a little sad.

Oh sammy how i love you,

I know you loved me to.

We spent years raising steven

Always wishing that we were even.

But we knew that could never be,

Because you were human and i was...me.

Then came a day i had to change you,

You agreed it was for the best thing to do,

We could be together forever more.

 

 

Then the day my father my came,

He was a vampire we coulden't tame.

He would have killed me but you took my place,

I will never forget the look on you face.

You died for me,

To set me free.

Morganville is safe because of you,

Oh sammy how i loved you.

 

Oh dear sammy why did you have to die,

You left me dying deep inside.

I loved you fondly,

Now i stand strongly.

I mustn't show what i feel inside.

I run a town with people that need me,

Onley i wish that they could see,

How i hide what i feel to protect them.

Oh sammy how i loved you.

These Vampire poem are hard for us old people. In my young days. Vampires were fear and dangerous. I like the tale in the poem. Love and Vampires is a new modern thing. In the books of old. Vampires were the collectors of history and quiet. A very good poem.
