Norn Queen

Norn Queen

A Poem by Scott H.
"

The Norns were the three goddesses of fate for the Norse

"

"Norn Queen"

Urd she sits in darkness spinning

The fate of all she sees.

Verdandi takes the threads from Urd

And snips them where she please.

Their sister, the enchantress Skuld,

Weaves and braids the tapestry.

I am not a child of Norway,

Am neither a Dane nor a Swede -

Still this is my plea to the Norn Queen,

Won't you cut the strings governing me?

I've actually heard this one. Aren't these the three ladies from Hercules, who cut people's life away? (Forgive my childish example, it was the first thing I thought of.)

"Still this is my plea to the Norn Queen,
Won't you cut the strings governing me?"

That last line really hit me and it was very powerful. Overall, I loved it! Great job :)
