Schrodinger's Cat

Schrodinger's Cat

“Schrödinger’s Cat”

There’s a cat in a box

In the heavens,

There’s a cat in a box

In the stars.

He could be chasing mice

Around Orion,

He could be pushing daisies up

On Mars.

His fur is the black

Of the eclipse,

His eyes are the bright

Of the moon.

You’d better get that cat

Out of that damn box,

You’d better get that cat

Out of it soon.

Is that cat just the stuff

Of quantum physics?

Is that cat just a figment

In your head?

There’s a cat in a box "

Is he living?

There’s a cat in a box "

Is he dead?

I have often wondered about this particular thought experiment, wondering if it was not simply a case that he did not like cats. Yes, there is no doubt that adding in a cat makes it all that more dramatic; but the discussion that observation makes the difference in regards to whether a particular entity is matter or energy neglects the fact that the cat sure as Hell knows it is no longer alive... poor kitty.

The cat in the box, is it alive - is it dead - is it in the box....
