Imaginary

Imaginary

A Poem by playintheblues

The water's surface is cool, and calm. Deep and dark, mysterious and lurking. Intriguing me.

It's a mirror to my world, but with ripples, and relaxing sounds instead of chaos.

The forest paints the edge of the lake all around, and the sky spreads its blue across its girth.

There is a reflection of this beautiful gift in my soul that makes me want to sleep. Sleep deeply, soundly, seeing it there.

There's no end to how deep it can go. Drifting down, down to the beginnings of me.

Did it come from me, or me from it? This realization awakens me.

The water's surface is cool and calm. So am I.

About
Just like to write sometimes to "get it out". I never took any classes on writing or tried to learn anything about poetry. I just write what I'm thinking and what's in my heart. But I wouldn't mind so.. more..
