An ode to my friend's first crush

In the radiance of your sight, in the magic of air around;

I have had experiences of the heavens and the divine.

I fell for you like autumn leaves; never faded, evergreen.

Like dreams are to eyes, like rain is to cloud;

Too close are the rhythms of my heart and the smile on your face.

Like passage to the fabled land, where nothing but the heart speaks;

where silence is not just the absence of words; 

To remain there forever, beholding you; would be my last wish.

Beyond encumbrances and borders, and beyond the principles;

I wish we could stop existing; as separate beings. For our souls 

have found each other; I believe.
