fear and trembling

fear and trembling

A Poem by Eshe' Allen

those days when i believed God

as an extension of my Father

when i gladly would have been

Isaac

if only to have those travels alone

and would have lain prostrate

without thought

if daddy said god would provide a lamb

kierkegaard saw it as a test of

man's faith

when it was the child's

ultimately it is his sacrifice

so his faith

unwavering

is what is required

The Fathers draw strength

from him

it's always the son

as that faith lies with him

driven out with fancy

in the becoming
