Invisibility

Just because love is not feasible, does it not exist?

 

If you put pencil to paper,
And then erase the line,
If you have a good eraser,
Was there ever a line?

Did what happened ever happen
If there is no trace,
And does a smile really exist,
If it’s not always on your face?

Have you ever seen my mind?
Does my mind exist?
You have to trust me on that one;
There is more to me than mist.

You say love is not real since you cannot see it,
But is hurt not strong,
Since you cannot see the damage?
I think you are wrong.

Maybe you have no smile,
No mind,
And never ever any love,
You are one of a kind.

Don’t tell me love is not real,
Don’t tell me how to be,
I can never be you,
I can only be me.

So you keep on with your
Don’t see it, doesn’t exist stance.
Invisibility is enough for myself,
You go fade off into nonexistence.

I was in a rhyming sort of mood. I don't know why. Nut, please let me know what you think, this was prompted by a discussion in Government class about personal beleifs.

I laughed at that at first. I your avvy *cough, ADD*

But then I got the point.

It was cleverly simple and yet full of meaning. I definitely loved the first stanza. It flowed gently to give meaning to the rest of the poem.
