October Lights

October Lights

A Poem by Poetic Beauty

October lights have faded
The colors dwindled
The season's beauty
Has blossomed and died
Drifting away

Fire lights have diminished
Upon the cold breeze
Embers have become cold
Ashes born to a season
That has come to pass

Winter's fingers claw
Slashing upon the wind
Bitter and biting
The earth
In its icy clutches

Transforming the land
Into a fridigid desert
Icicles growing
As blizzards encase
The world in white

I hear ya lol ♥
Beautiful description! I really like this: it captures the inner landscape and devastation of the changing seasons. The world feels so bald when the weather and the seasons change. Great work!

I'm glad you liked the imagery.
The seasons are cycling around again....the earth is going to sleep later to be reborn again in the spring. Very strong and vivid imagery bringing to life the bleakness that winter can be.

Winter for me is a cold and barren time.
We do not have winter in our country but the words you shared made me see how it feels like to witness the transformation of seasons. I enjoyed reading this. :)

I'm glad you were a ble to visualize this piece.
The last of the poem gave me imagery of a land that was almost aging.
A nice tribute. I miss fall already.
