Blank Pages

The pages remain blank
As I push past the pain
Hurtfully my heart sank
Until only numbness remain

Taking over, the poetry died
Slipping into the recess of my mind
To myself I constantly lied
Trying to put it far behind

Tired of crying every night
A strong wall was put up
To help against the fight
Until all feelings did erupt

The love came crashing in
Causing memories and dreams
As the pain began again
Reminding, that not all is what it seems

With nothing left to do
To vent these feelings
A poem formed, strong and true
Meant to help start new healing

and this is the beauty of writing and expressing our inner feelings and thoughts like tears they help cleanse us and prepare us to let go and move on with life. It is sad when poetry inside of us dies from pain or heart break but like love it is sure to return reminding us, refreshing us for a new tomorrow. another nice write by you.

I liked the flow to this.. and the message of healing always makes me smile.. Writing from the heart is always therapeutic.. it releases the hurt, the pain that batters the heart and lays us gently in a forgiving peace..
