Drowning

Drowning

A Poem by Lucia M.

The water flowed
Upstream,
Against mildew rocks
And flailing fists,
No longer struggling
To flow against the stream.
The current singing,
Like a sad ballad,
All night.

Great imagery and tone to this piece that carry it well! Like the water flows, so does this piece. Nicely done!

it makes me think of giving up a fight.
either by way of surrender,
or acceptance.
