A Solitary Rose

A Solitary Rose

A Poem by Poetic Nuance
"

Can love lost be gained?

"

A solitary, discarded rose,
What stories can it tell?
Is it end for a love in throes?
Or privy to a trust that fell?

Shedding gentle petals in pain,
Will it wither & die?
Or loving hands care for it again?
Watered by a tearful eye.

Will perfumed glory reign again?
Can its scent revive?
And beating hearts breathe again,
The heady scent of love.

I like the poetry that bring to life questions and possibilities. This poem did. A single lonely rose could leave us with the why, who, where, when and how of the poor rose. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Thank you for your comment. Glad you liked the poem. :)
The consistent rhyme pattern is impressive. The petals of rose may fell and wither but the stem when planted could bloom once again. I love the pondering you made in here.
