HARRY POTTER

for all harry potter fans like me !......

Once upon a time I thought

- when I was such a fool -

about why everyone thought,

that HARRY POTTER was really cool.

They raved and ranted,

                                    and screamed and yelled,

                                    about the Rowling book
                                   Such a thing you will,

                                   never find - they said -

                                   even if you everywhere look.

                                   I scoffed at their silliness,

                                   and considered it

                                   only as a passing fad.

                                  They loved him -I thought-

                                  due to the hype only,

                                  which to me was really sad.

                So out of curiosity I took,

               Out of the series the 3rd book.

      And from the first page ,let me tell you,

               I got completely hooked.

               It was spooky, it was fun,

              it was different from the others,

              So much so that it cast a spell,

              even on my brothers.

I read the first, then the second and so on,

- the hunger was insatiable.

'Coz there's something real about the book,

It's more than just a fable.

I thought of the reason for its success

and hence I went to the core.

Eventually I found out the reason.

                              which is stated below :

                              Its got RON, its got HERMIONE,

                              Its got DUMBLEDORE,

                              Its got DOBBY, its got SIRIUS,

                              There are characters in galore.

                              There's MALFOY, there's CRABBE,

                 There's VOLDEMORT and SNAPE,

                              Such different characters

                              no book can ape.

                             The book beholds spells and zinxes,

                              Unicorns and Centaurs,

                              Portkey and Powder of Floo.

                             And of course,

                             the best of all,

                             It contains HARRY TOO.

                             From being indifferent

                             I have become,

                             as crazy about him as I can.

                             Let me tell you that

                             in the entire world,

                             I am his biggest FAN.

So if you have not read the book,

or think of it as silly,

then it is really a shame;

'Coz if you read even a page,

I promise that you will love it,

If not , I will change my name !

Honestly I'm not really a fan of Harry Potter. I've read the first book though. Even so, I admire your sentiments. You remind me of a friend that's also an avid Hp fan. You're enthusiasm is very amusing that it just feels like someone's just ranting something to me.

I understand exactly how you feel^_^ i got hooked when I was a little girl and I used to force my mother to read to me every night. I literally was Hermoine for like five Halloweens in a row:P I even got my picture in the paper for looking like her at a midnight release! lmao Great write! keep it up!

I too got hooked on harry potter in the first page except for i started reading the fourth one first terrible shame cuz that totally ruined the first 3 books none the less i read all of them ^_^ I will compete with you on the "biggest fan" part lolz this was amazeing I loved it nobody could have written it better XD good job on this writeing I truly enjoyed it

LOL, yes, Harry Potter is awesome!!! I've been one of his psycho fans since I was 11, so I totally grew up with Harry, Ron, and Hermione -- they were like real actual living-breathing people to me for a while there I was so obsessed :D Great poem, I am so with you!
