This is based on the Jallianwalla Baug massacre which occured during the India's Independence Struggle against the British Rule. Many Indians had gathered in the Jallianwalla Baug to listen to a peaceful sermon to b given by Gandhiji. However General Dyer arrived there with his armed officials and ordered to shoot at the innocent people. The Baug had only one entrance - which was blocked by him- and so to escape the bullets many of the people jumped into the well in desperation (In this pic you can see a woman with a baby in her hand jumping into the well).

Many people were killed. Even to this day if you visit the Baug, you can see the signs of the massacre which occured.

the sad part is when people forget the sacrifices made. And the worst is people really do forget!
