Desert Rose: Part 4

Desert Rose: Part 4

A Poem by PP
"

The storm!

"
Sinking into the depth
of one's own melancholy and thoughts
She was hoovering memories
from distant and near
Face to face with quaint appearances
of Life's mystical mane
She came face to face with Her Own Self
In silence
She spoke
So many words
With various meanings
She picked herself up
Signed a contractual agreement
To shine up to glory
against all odds
In the Desert she rose again
Gripping her feet tight on lose sand
amidst a desert storm..
Barren are her thoughts
Lit up frantically
dim enough to offer her a camouflage
But bright enough
to set ablaze
the piping hot desert air..
Mystery..thy name is she...
Who is she?
What is her identity?
There she goes
looking for the desert rose!

I tend to agree with John this is a very compelling, write, very insightful,
tapping into the psyche of the heart versus the mind. Wonderful use of imagery and
Lyrical flow. Beautiful poem! 100 - 100 :)

The desert storm is so much akin to stormy emotions. This writing spoke of a mind in transition...braving the changing desert winds... Very finely expressed and written, Prathama!

The desert looks barren but it is full of life if we look carefully but it can be harsh but those who survive it are the masters of their conditions like this desert rose . An awesome write ...:)

A compelling read as with the previous poems in this series. A very descriptive metaphor of the storm which could be interpreted literally or otherwise.

What I notice here is the fine tempo, phrases finely broken..

she is a fighter...she is a survivor, even when the desert tries to break her down.

her thoughts are barren now...but they will flourish once again...

did you mean "hovering memories" in the third line....that tripped me up a bit.

facing ourself, not always an easy thing to do...
