No Hope For The Dreamer

No Hope For The Dreamer

A Poem by preoccupied
"

Wake up, Darling, before the future comes.

"

V

floating through galaxies of hope
holding on to reality by a splitting thread
always believing my horoscopes
still dreaming when i'm not in bed

my unrealistic views of my future
pair with my moping of now
for this i'll need a tutor
on the stage of reality, i'll never earn my bow

when i'm forced to think realistically
please, just off with my head
reality, for me, is a critical deficiency
if you enter my mind, cautiously tread

if you don't, you'll become like me
trust that this life, it has ruined many
i keep pressing the control key
but it never gives me any

V

Stanza 2 has a bit of an oddity in message, but everything else is beyond words!! The last 2 stanzas were simply sublime! Even the last two lines were un-freaking-believable! Marvellous! Absolutely well done!
