Back to home

A Poem by Pooja Sharma
"

Why don't we turn towards the almighty God and Chant His holy names? And thus, simply chant: Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare, Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare.

"
Look around!
What do you see?
They have forgotten the divine sound
That which penetrates even sea.

As if in a tree,
Completely upwards down:
We think we are free,
Being so low, we are simply clowns
Of nature.

Crawling on the ground
We are hungry for that love:
Which is our heart's only crown,
That which is all above.

As if in a mud,
We are simply eating dirt
Of love so ephemeral!
And we say,
Love in this world is so rough.

Just gaze inside:
Once in a while.
We'll find the treasure sitting beside;
Within our hearts.
We don't have to travel a mile.

To find it:
We don't have to be rich,
Educated and outstanding!
We don't have to twitch
Our body around:
To attain that divine love,
So pleasing and fulfilling.

We just have to look in our hearts,
And face towards that transcendental one:
Who is our only start,
Who can give us all the fun.

He, who is called
The great almighty God,
Is waiting eagerly from our hearts.
He is willing to reciprocate
Even if we are odd.

Lifetimes after lifetimes,
He comes again and again:
Just to call us back,
Back to home again.

And thus He came as His holy name,
In this age so fallen!
We can chant and participate in His game,
Where He has sworn
To love us unlimitedly.
