I love you, is the Most Useful Sentence Yet Invented

A Poem by Prolific In Verse
"

So this is all I can say, like repeated anthems of my private illusions

"

The body knows

What the mind has since forgotten

Revelations of our ancient self

There is a word for this way of communicating

It’s sensory telepathy

Male-female old consciousness

It’s not a failure to find words

It’s a constant stream of information

Heart, brain and cells

The body knows

If you love everyone

You will know how everyone feels

Language is a device of the left brain

Empathy is the dependable art of the right

The body knows

In the pre-literate affections

That we dance here for a primitive unity

For the thrill of unborn unity

The body knows

Why we practice service everyday

Why we receive more in giving

Than receiving, we’ll get there

In a shared entrance to a new consciousness

We’re love, inhabiting close quarters

Glowing for nine months of incredible safety.

I like the ideas that underpin this.... love's universality that draws us together... there's an openness in your poetry that leaves room for idealisation and for truths to blossom.

Where the mind cannot go, the body's knowledge takes over. Primative insticts may be buried; they never die...
