Body Wash Bubble

Body Wash Bubble

A Poem by Pete

Image result for soap bubble

I wanted to cleanse myself of life's dirt, slime, ooze, filth and funk.
I needed to rid myself of its muck, mire, contamination, contagions and lies.
As I was taking a shower, I grabbed a bottle of body wash.
I must have squeezed it a bit.
As I lifted it up to dispense some healing salve, a tiny bubble was born.

The perfect combination of water, soap and air.
It did not worry and it did not care.

At first it floated serenely upward in front of me.
Then suddenly, it changed course and moved away at a quickened pace.
It was so clean and pure that it reflected the light magnificently, churning beautiful colors like a prism of earth's soul.

It had no sin and it had no trouble.
Oh how I long to be ...
 that body wash bubble ...

Pete,
I like titles that represent the content; this one literally. To feel that we need change for the better and to experience something in the everyday of life is wonderful. I am glad you were able to just create a special event right in your own home. It sounds so lovely.
Blessings,
Kathy

A lovely write Pete, there's certainly a fascination with bubbles when playing; how big they get and of course how far will they travel before they pop. a delight to ponder on.

This is a very philosophical writing. It is very well put forth..The subtle and underlying meanings of your writings are thought provoking. I liked this poem very much. Thank you for sharing it.

This has all the lightness and joy that a bubble must feel. A good job well done Pete.

This is a lovely thought, Pete :) To be light as a bubble...but bubbles pop and muts are stronger and live longer than pure breds, crumpled leaves become fertile earth, and if there was no dirt there would be no place to root :) Everything has a purpose and perfection is a matter of opinion...something to be strived for and never achieved. Change is good, dear poet

So many colors and distortions reflected from one singular fragile sphere. ..And so free to float up and away.. and easily carried off by a breeze. Seems tranquil.. Well done :) thanks for the read!
