A Poem by Pete

Image result for wave crashing into shore

I savor your scent as it burns like incense.
The lingering taste of your lips teases.
The fleeting feel of your skin floats.
Separation sinks in an undertow of meaningless words.
I yearn for bold sun to shine.
Captive spirits intertwine.
Two become one again.
Inseparable.

When butterflies dance and toes touch sand.
I reach out for your delicate hand.
When stars dot the sky, making the night whole.

Your presence hunts me down and surrounds.
Waves rise up and collapse at the shore.
My lonely, aching heart declares ...

Hauntingly & longingly beautiful sentiments. This is the poster child for how to turn heartbreak into art (helpful inspiration for new writers who can sometimes turn it into a rant or whine). I like the way you loosely fashion your rhymes along with repeated word sounds & alliteration, enhancing the "rolling wave" motif (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

thank you so much for stopping in for a read.
your kind thoughts are appreciated.
This is Beautiful. I am fascinated by this. There is a peaceful melody to these words and I believe them. Every on of them. These words bring visuals of sentiment with pillows, bare skins, beaches and kisses. Straight up and excellent written Love poem .

You are welcome.
The undertow was sad Pete drawing both the writer and the reader on painful memories that were beautiful moments.
