Exit Eden

Exit Eden

Doors.
Blocking passageways.
Disagreeably strong, dank and dark.
Barren and barred.
Off-limits.
Forbidden.
Tempting.
Faith collides with freewill.
Failing and falling.
Takes each of us through different places.
Always ending at the same destination.
Naked.
Afraid.
Second-guessing.
Blaming.

We''ll try anything to open them.
With jaundiced justifications.
Defying truth.
Daring it in a chilling game of hide-and-seek.
Hopscotched with a jump rope like a hangman's noose.
Opposing sides in a chess match.
An all-in game of liar's poker.
The stakes are high.
Once through, there's no turning back.
Leads to a maze of endless doors.
The keeper is a Philadelphia lawyer.
There's a simple reason why they're locked.
... We're not supposed to go there ...
