Possibilities

Possibilities

A Poem by Shawn Purcell
"

A pantoum

"

It is impossible

To float across the universe

On the starboard of a cloud

While you’re sleeping.

To float across the universe,

Just dream about it

While you’re sleeping

On a bed of cotton balls.

Just dream about it

The entire universe

On a bed of cotton balls

Like a kite in a soft breeze.

The entire universe

Dizzily engaged

Like a kite in a soft breeze

Tongue kissing the clouds.

Dizzily engaged

Like two kids

Tongue kissing the clouds

Of foam atop a glass of soda pop.

Like two kids

On the starboard of a cloud

Of foam atop a glass of soda pop

It is impossible.

this one is kinda cute and sweet mix ....

like the repetition of 2 lines :

The entire universe

Dizzily engaged

Like a kite in a soft breeze

Tongue kissing the clouds.

Dizzily engaged

Like two kids

Tongue kissing the clouds

Of foam atop a glass of soda pop.

The repetition emphasizes the importance of that action well :)

good one ...keep it coming

Reminds me of lucid dreaming, and astral travel.

Your mind only let's you achieve what you believe is possible.
