With All That I Have Left in Me

With All That I Have Left in Me

A Chapter by Shawn Purcell

You might find me crying
In a corner kneeling
In a dark room shaking
Make up smeared across my face

“Please believe

I swear I’ve changed

Sprawled out on the floor

This here’s what’s left of me.”

Chorus
I can't see
I can't breathe
If being means to be without you

But I’ll be here,
Standing strong,
With all that I have left in me.

Afraid to shame
For it might reveal a weakness
You were so nice
And they left you there bleeding

And you look back at the pain
And see how it’s shaped you
Bruised and throbbing

And the guide inside you missing

Chorus 2
I’m blind
I can't breathe
It’s empty to be without you

But here I’ll be,
Standing strong,
With all that I have left in me.

(I’ll be here)
