Dear Feelings

Dear Feelings

A Poem by Qavah Simchah

Dear Feelings,

I wish I were a walled city,

Thick and firm enough to keep
Out every one and every thing:
Enemy, friend, stranger, and beast,
But I am just a vessel cracking

And you get in the center of me.

I read a couple of your other works before this one but the theme here attracted me and the analogy was well done.
