From there, to Here! To me!

A poem of growth and understanding.

From there, to here! To me!

 

They say you have to go there!

If you’re ever going to be here!

But when I ask them “Go where?”

The directions become unclear!

 

“There!” They say. “You know that place!”

I simply look around, confused by the space!

When they tell me of the monsters I’ll face!

I ask, “Do I really have to go there? The monsters base?”

 

With smiles behind eyes, there I go!

Seeing real, the monsters, here for the show!

Each step takes me away, so sure and slow!

The journey accepted, in each step I grow!

 

So now I can tell you, that I have been there!

And if you’re ever ready, to stand with me here!

No monsters to slay, but to simply bear!

With each step I take, I can go anywhere!

 

Going there takes a lifetime you see!

And each monster! Well that’s just you and me!

So step lively, together lets be!
