In Loving God

In Loving God

A Poem by Einstein Noodle

In Loving God
Image result for dandelions in the wind
I let the dogs out this morning
the sky still dark
the windbreeze pressing the moist fog to my face and mind
it smells like fresh hung linens
the dogs offer lakes and rivers
leave fertile architectures ..... shapes like
The Tower of Pisa,
                                   the Pantheon,
Pyramids and sprawling ranches ...
they are big dogs with plenty of supplies
thank you oh Lord ... thank you oh Lord
taking once more a deep precious breath
of my life.
Towers hoisted against forbearing sky -
mountain's root and nerve the
 oceans' poise ....................
I see .................
an undying accord
a persistent rapport
The dog chases the trails of nightfall and
I inhale the scents: perpetuity on mortality
So, thank you, oh Lord, for every deep breath of my life
How can one express such splendor
such vast an expanse in the smallest of life
green shoots and sprouts
clear, clean ice drops .................
one drop of God
on seeking tongues
on bending oak and iron
when our heavy rain enfolds comfort arms
on weathered, rusted roofs ................
God's own assurance melds,
welds the bonds ............
How big you are
Oh God.
E.

Your poetry a celebration of dawn rising. Your lines elevating my mood. As I respond to you the early sun floods through the upper bay window where we are staying for the week. All is good with my world and that is the feeling your words give me too. We should appreciate the simple things in life. Appreciation of little things can bring contentment in a world where there is such cruelty. We are but specks in the ocean of time. Your poetry, rich with its spiritual thread weaving through its warp and weft.
Thank you Mr E.

A masterpiece of nature and spirituality, E! There is nothing quite waking up and being out and about when dawn breaks. Whether it be in a city or in the country or even on the shoreline...there is a special silence that is interrupted only by sounds that make us believe we are not alone in this universe. Such an uplifting piece....truly wonderful. Lydi**

Here, 'In Loving God' you have managed to craft an epic celebration of life in words, my Friend.
This gift has gone some considerable way to helping me realise that despite everything, I am indeed alive and a very lucky man. A remarkable achievement in my book...........All Good Things, Neville

What a gentle and easy reminder of finding God and gratitude in small natural things. Every line at peace with itself which in turn started my morning with peace and gratitude for what is around me (and perhaps inside me). Thank you for taking us along this journey with you, we are the richer for the read. Cheers!

Your writing here is an example of how to feel and be human; how to appreciate the sweetness of every day, and how the comfort each glance, visit, emotion leaves us with an urge to hug self then share near and wide. You've such a wonderful mind, a gentle heart - both nudging those indifferent into shadows!!
Welcome, Lord, come hug us warm when you have time.. ..

E - This is the perfect read for me on this rainy Sunday afternoon - how big, indeed. Your poem reads like a story, an ode, and a prayer all at once.

It is indeed the simple things we ignore or fail to see that reflect God's goodness. Your poem brings back to mind the simple, the daily images, sounds and smells that remind us we're still alive, a small but blessed life still full of breath. And, the photo you paired with this poem is perfect, showing the gentle, simple and also fragile part of life. Nice work, E.!

Was my pleasure my dear friend and you are welcome.
What a splendorous poem, my friend! I didn't even know you were so inclined, but it's my delightful surprise to find this new wrinkle in your panoply of surprises! So much of this describes exactly how I feel upon stepping outside first thing every morning to take my dogs out. The feel of everything makes me so filled with gratitude, it's my private cathedral of wonder out there! *smile* Definitely one of the very best of yours I've read so far!!! Fondly, Margie

What a poem Mr.E! what a poem... the majestic splendour of dawn, its ever thrilling mystery, yes when the spirit is the nearest to the Whole, to God... just like Yours was, so blessed, so in love, so loving, so high, so pure... You don't know how to express this overwhelmed feeling... rich images filling Your poem and pour with richness, richness to fill our hearts with joy, walking with You in each of Your steps, and what a terrific last two verses, form the smallest, to the biggest, from the softest, to the strongest... He is always there!
