Home is where your heart is

Home is where your heart is

A Poem by Relvester

If i could have the world i'd give it up for you,
Or only for a chance you'd say you want me, too.
December chills with our breath floating in the air
I remember how I'd wanna brush your hair,
Behind...your...ear.

I guess that I'll just have to wait a few more years,
For you to reappear.
That is if you'll still have me.
Just know you've always had me.
I've always known since that first day our eyes,
First caught each other
It sparked a smile
a smile that grew into a flame
That's burned inside me
That's kept my heart beating.

I remember all the dreams I've had with you so vividly
All crafted so realistically
Each building up the love I've kept inside.
Inside I'm growing jealous of the guy you're holding by your side.

I guess that I'll just have to wait a few more years,
For you to reappear.
That is if you'd even have me.
Just know you've always had me.
I've always known since that first day our eyes,
First caught each other
It sparked a smile
a smile that grew into a flame
That's burned inside me
That's kept my heart beating.

I love you.

Sometimes I walk the night with nowhere left to go.
I dream of going home.
All I know now is that home is in your arms
And so far now I'm left here waiting for my chance to prove my love, but so far
It's so hard
To wait.
My home is in your arms.
