Will

Will

A Poem by Rachel Landes

I remember how you looked me in the eye
The entire time during which you
Stole my soul
From me
And how
I was
Fade
Ing
And soon
Very soon
I will leave
And all this
All this pain
Will be gone
All of this will
Be over, and soon
So, so soon I won't
Have to hurt anymore
And all this pain, all this
Pain is going to go away, soon.
So, so soon. So goodbye all my
Broken dreams and states of mind.
Goodbye all the people who could not
Allow me, who tried, but not hard enough.
And I do not blame you, I could never blame
You. I blame me. For trusting, hoping, wishing.
I should have given up far earlier. And so I have
Given up. And I feel free. Blissfully, yet agonisingly

Free.
