I really like the message this intones. It shows us that it takes two to tango, and when those bonds of emotions break, it matters not which side walks away first, both will cause those threads of past love to tear. It tops the puzzle by giving us the insight that the past is always part of us and we can't ever go back to those previous moments.
I've felt this before and can relate to your words.
