just a little different

I watch,

They stare

What do they see?

They are human

The same as me

 

I don’t understand

Why they do this to me

I’m a little different

So what?

Ok!

 

I’m not an alien

Or evil

though you may be

It hurts when you torment me

Because of my disability

People say it's their loss,

But it seems to be mine

Almost alone

Not a friend to spare

It seems 

I will be different to the end of my days

Its all the same 

All the same 

I'll go on being different

That is so sad. I just read a book from an autistics girl point of view. It really opens your eyes up to their feelings. How when you stare, how it makes them feel. But what's worse, is that this poem is so true. You have one disability, and that's exactly what happens. Amazing job!
