Is it wrong to feel?

I pour out my heart and soul

And they laugh to my face.

The pain took its toll

And “It’s your fault” is what they say.

They said I’m out of control

I’m evil and mad

It wasn’t my choice they stole

My heart and my facade.

I tried to keep it

But thought I could trust,

Finding out they merely sit

And listen with disgust.

 

Well, I’m sorry for feeling

Such things;

Your words,

They attack and sting.

 

I couldn’t help but ache

For being the one at stake-

Burning with each caustic syllable

I try hard to find acceptable.

 

Is it wrong to feel?

Feeling is sometime exactly what you have to do, but not everyone will understand. This is a very good way to put those feelings into words

No feelings are absolutely precious. They are neutral no morale judgement on feelings. It becomes either good or bad only when it is put into action...even here it is debatable.....but know to feel is neutral and human. It is great and ok and cool to feel

This is a good self-realization piece or rather self-interogation. Is it wrong to feel? Well, that is too general of a question to answer. At times it may be inappropriate to feel certain feelings (lusting after one's best friend's wife or husband for example) But love (in the true sense of the word) is never wrong. Love is the ONLY thing that is right actually. A great thought provoking write here, well expressed and well crafted. 100% from me.
