Sun Stand Still

Sun Stand Still

A Poem by Rachel Rock It Out
"

my thoughts after a sermon at my church

"

Sun, moon, stars, all stand still.

Time stop dead in its tracks.

Wash away, the tears and the pain,

Cleanse the sins of the past.

Move mountains with the faith of a seed.

You've put this fire deep in me.

Chains are broken, I am free.

Sun, moon, and stars stand still.

Removing the stains of relentless regret.

Forgiving memories I couldn't forget.

Shielding my heart, Oh God you protect.

Sun, moon and stars stand still.

Renewing my passion, You are alive.

All my dreams are from you derived.

Healing my heart, I will survive.

Sun, moon and stars stand still.

Sun, moon, stars, all stand still.

Time stop dead in its tracks.

Wash away, the tears and the pain,

Cleanse the sins of the past.

beautiful- cleansing, healing, rediscovering the soul- beautifully written; there's power in stopping time "dead in its tracks"- to "create un-time for healing

Strong statements made the poem have purpose and allow your desire and final statement have backbone.
"Sun, moon, stars, all stand still.
Time stop dead in its tracks.
Wash away, the tears and the pain,
Cleanse the sins of the past."
Thank you for the excellent poem of hope.
