Black Hole

Black Hole

A Poem by Raevyne

A black hole blossomed in my heart
Devouring my lungs and arteries
Within my ribcage it unravels veins
Slowly- without anguish
Just strange sadness,
A haunting melancholy.

I throw offerings into the abyss
To quell the creeping of its edges
Nightclubs, teacups, old books, new songs
It devours them and leaves me empty
Void, aching.

A strange, pale creature with red plumage and black war paint. It consumes copious amounts of diet coke and cloves, occasionally regurgitating artistic things. It squeaks when threatened. more..
