Convict Mankind

Convict Mankind

A Poem by Raj Sahu
"

This poem is based on the polluted deeds of mankind and it's consequences.

"

Mankind has adopted the ideas harmful,
That pollutes the Earth's oceans roomful.
Never ever the oceans complained
Then also, the man has not maintained,
His pollution becomes dreadful.

Is this the purpose of rivers to flow?
To contaminate their water that glow.
Never ever the rivers asked,
But the man has frequently harassed,
The kind rivers and become their foe.

But there's a limit of tolerance,
The man has to face the consequence.
The result are flood and inundation,
Sometimes vanished the entire civilization
And it is just to the man's belligerence.

O Man! Where is your wisdom?
Will you make the entire Earth a sodom?
There's a lot of time still,
The man, you can change your will
Otherwise, your shoulders will be burdensome.

Thank you.
You do a good job of describing all the ways humans are not being good stewards of our planet. I have all these same issues, & I try to conserve resources in my everyday life. Your message is heartfelt with a little touch of kick-in-the-butt. This is a good mix becuz most humans don’t like to be lectured about how bad we are, but you don’t get too preachy here, just describing the situation truthfully. The thing I hate most is how there’s a huge garbage patch (bigger than our biggest state of Texas) in the middle of the Pacific Ocean – been there for years – and many people don’t even know about it. I admire you for writing about the topics I really worry about. It shows you have a caring heart & I’m glad you’re using your words to enlighten people (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

The warning you gave in your poem is really a matter to think over. We still have time to correct our deeds or unless we have to lift the burden of everlasting regret. Amazing work.

Yeah, Man is blindfolded with greed. May your work enlarge their narrow sight. Well composed. Thank you.

Thank you. 😊
i like it, its symbolic and the images express many ideas and insights, i could relate it to the biblical flood but also as a metaphor between water destruction and wisdom.

Thank you so much. 😊😊
I share your outrage at the nihilation of nature and earth. This poem is a plea and a prayer for positive change and is so beautifully, lyrically, expressed. It is also a warning "your shoulders will be burdensome". The bell tolls for mankind now. You gave it a voice. Bravo!
