The Elusive Mermaid

A metaphorical poem about glimpses of AWAKENING !

I am a mermaid you sometimes see
But never can you ever feel me.
Sometimes I let myself peep out
To be seen.
Swimming in your eyes
I could maybe drown
So that you abandon 
The search.
Glistening on the sands
Enrobed in bright seaweeds.
My love is like an underwater dream,
A passion which flows 
With the sun & the moon.
An elusive treasure 
Your illusion can find,
And not keep !!!

This poem has an almost magical and ethereal quality to it. The expressions of love and want are very well done and I was carried away in a secluded far-away cove, a mermaid's abode, a lover's heart.

Lot of beauty in conveying the elusive nature of a woman's passion....

I noted the absence of rhyming in this writing and I must say rhyming is not important when such tantalizing emotions have to be expressed in totality.

A very enjoyable read!
