dying gentleman

dying gentleman

A Poem by Bewitching Sensation
"

where are the men ?

"

Men , where are you?

Where have you all gone?

Paying tribute to the gentlemen

The man in armour that shone

The protector, the provider

Adrift in a sea of acquiesces

Our knight in shining armour

Instead many are gremlins

Someone to treat us virtuous

Not to be used as trusting souls

But have respect as soul mates

Come sit awhile, enter my gates

Are you lost forever?

I hear your distant voices

I behold the shadows of kings

Now we have too many choices

Where’s the roar of the lion?

The older counselling the vernal

How to respect the princess

Instead we are as guano

Come convene awhile and observe

To the cry of the princess

Our feminine ways dying slowly

As we rise to try to possess

We have to fight and succeed

Performing the male role

A gentleman is a withering breed

Can you hear the sob of our soul?
